Wall HVAC unit is installed, and we have a big ol fridge in there. The ceiling drop frame is installed as well as the outer tiles. Today, the electricians installed the final lights in the ceiling.

Some of the last hanging wires are visible, as well as the HVAC System. I don’t know what that plastic bag does, but it seems important! I am assured it will not be there when everything is completed.

This is what our tech booth looks like! It’s a little hole! In the WALL! We love the paint color.

We have a different style of light in the closets and bathroom! There’s only one more tile to be put in, which will be put in after the final inspection.

The window in the venue is visible here. As are the overhead lights, the Kegerator (temporarily).

This is our sprinkler system contractors, doing our sprinkler system work! Those are sprinkler pipes in their sprinkler hands! Wow!

Also, you can see one of the split duct HVAC units. And our alarm system! And the back wall behind the stage! There’s a lot in this picture. A ladder and boxes, too!

The paneling is on the bar, the overhead lights are hung, the sinks are all installed. All electrical is completed, the HVAC systems are in. You can see our reach-in cooler, as well as our ice machine.

That’s right. We have two working bathrooms. This ones just for looking at your phone instead of working, though. That’s why we have the outlet near the toilet.

Our HVAC is wired. Our sprinklers are ready to put out a fire.

It’s a little wet but it’s fully painted and only missing a little bit of the ceiling.

We wanted to see what it would like like with our remote show set up. It looks sick as heck.

Steve, our ceiling guy (You gotta get yourself a ceiling guy) put in the frame. Now we have a frame. For our ceiling. You gotta get a ceiling guy.

They gotta get this shit done before they put in ceiling frames! This is the day before we thought we were going to open. Why did we think we would be able to open on the ides of March?

At this point, the project lead told me the whole comedy club would be completed in one week! I didn’t know enough to know that was crazy. So I set the opening date for March 15th! That’s going to be very exciting when that happens.

Jay looks at the floor of the bar and where the bar is going to be and thinks about it. We made the decision a couple days ago to turn the bar into an L, effectively doubling the space behind the bar.

Tape where the bar will go! And the landlord is still using the space for storage! Oh yeah, and no walls yet. Two days later, there will be walls. But you already know that, this slideshow is in reverse chronological order. Unless you hit the left arrow first, in which case, just wait until you get to March 15th.

What will soon become the walls are leaned on what will soon be the inside of the walls. All of the rough HVAC and electrical is done. Also the stage is standing on its side. Also there are cool hanging wires.

We finished the rough electrical for the building, which is why a lot of future pictures have all those cool hanging wires. You can even see them in what will soon become the walls. Next step is getting our building permit approved.

At this time, Ryan was under the impression the venue would be opened and completed in October. Oh, sweet, sweet summer child. You have no idea what it takes to build a venue.
